Please make sure you review the daily health assessment before sending your child(ren) to school. Click here to review.
If you are late to school, your child must enter through the upper front door by the salmon mural and check-in at the office. Please call the office at (604) 713-5414 so they can let the child in.
If your child will be absent from school, please phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. Our school code is 79.

Hello Southlands Families!
Thank you for your participation in last week’s Goal Setting Conferences. It was wonderful to hear that so many of you connected with your child’s teacher. The teachers were really pleased to be able to speak with you on Teams as a safe alternative to face-to-face. One day, we will be able to meet in person again. As Dr. Bonnie says, “It’s not forever, it’s just for now.”
On Monday, we will have six more students returning to school from Option 4. We will bring them up to speed with all of our routines and protocols. Thank you for your support in reminding all students about frequent handwashing, walking on the right side of the halls and stairs, giving each other personal space (hands to self) and respiratory etiquette. Grade 6 and 7 students are also to wear masks in halls and common areas. Please continue to do the daily health checks and keep students home if they are sick.
Next week we will be collecting donations for the Poppy Fund. Our assembly will be on Tuesday at 10:40 and we will record it so you can watch later at home. You can send a donation any day next week. Student Leadership will come around and collect each morning, except, of course, on Wednesday.
Thanks to the parents who came out this week to clean up the garden. What a beautiful example of caring and helping you set for our students.
As always, please be in touch with any questions or concerns.
