Throughout the year, Southlands' Garden Committee looks after the Annual Spring and Fall Garden clean-ups, general garden care of the circular butterfly garden and planters, and coordinates the Summer garden care program. We also support teachers in the Outdoor Classroom and Garden Program, including garden planning, grant writing, summer garden care. If you are interested in joining, please email southlands.elementary.garden@gmail.com ~ Everyone is welcome. No experience required. This is a very rewarding experience with many opportunities to grow the program and impact our school community.
Summer Gardening at Southlands
A BIG Thank You to all of the volunteers who helped with the summer garden care ~ weeding, watering, harvesting, and helping keep our garden boxes and grounds stay beautiful for the whole community to enjoy! Please keep an eye out at the Welcome Back Potluck for dishes made from food grown right here in our Southlands garden!
Fall Garden Clean-up
The Garden Committee is hosting our Annual Fall Garden Clean-up on Thursday, November 7th 1-3 pm, where we’ll weed, rake, and prune our garden beds and planters. We are looking for volunteers - no experience required. Please mark your calendar.
