Please continue to make sure your child(ren) are healthy and feeling well before sending them to school.
If you are late to school (after 9:00 am), your child(ren) must enter through the upper front door by the salmon mural and check-in at the office. The upper front door is now unlocked during the day so no need to call or ring the doorbell. All parents entering the school must enter through the upper front door and check-in at the office.
If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please email souattendance@vsb.bc.ca or phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. If you phone, you will be required to use a school code. The Southlands school code is 79#.

Hello Southlands Families.
Sports Day on Friday was a great success! Thank you to all of the PAC members who helped out and bought us lunch. Thank you to all of the family members who came to support the students. Thank you to the volunteers from Point Grey Secondary and Kitsilano Secondary. Thank you to the Southlands staff for organizing the events. Thank you to the Musqueam Community for allowing us to have Sports Day on their beautiful lands and to Elder Larry Grant for the heartfelt welcome.
On Tuesday June 20th we invite all parents who supported our school in any way for coffee, tea and home baking at 8:30am, followed by an Appreciation Assembly at about 9:20.
There are only 9 more school days! Let's all celebrate what we have accomplished this year, our school's 70th.

Thank you to all the parents and volunteers that came out to support the students at Sports Day. We raised $705 for PAC activities.
A big thank you to Viva Fine Foods & Bakery in Kitsilano for donating the baked goods and to Jar Bar Refillery for donating the gift basket for the raffle.

Ordering for Subway lunch on Jun 28 will open this week. Please place your order between Mon and Wed through Munchalunch.
As a reminder, proceeds from Subway lunch are being donated to the Grade 7 grad fundraiser. Subway orders have been low the last few months. Please support our Grade 7 students by ordering from this fundraiser.

Southlands Yearbooks are here!
If you have ordered a yearbook, we will be sending them home with students tomorrow. If you ordered an e-yearbook, you should also receive a link tomorrow.
