Please make sure you review the daily health assessment (english or simplified chinese) before sending your child(ren) to school. Or use the K-12 Health Check website.
If you are late to school, your child(ren) must enter through the upper front door by the salmon mural and check-in at the office. Parents who are picking students up early must come to the office. Office staff will go and get the student.
If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please email souattendance@vsb.bc.ca or phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. If you phone, you will be required to use a school code. The Southlands school code is 79#.

Dear Southlands families,
I hope everyone is staying warm and healthy. Thank you everyone who attended our November PAC meeting. It was great to discuss ideas and concerns that benefit and enrich our school community. For any details, please check out our meeting minutes on the website.
We are planning some exciting events for the month of December and January, please stay tuned for the announcement. Meanwhile, for November, we are kicking off our Purdy's campaign for y'all chocolate lovers. It's a great way to treat your family and friends with yummy chocolates while supporting our community.
Another exciting news is that our holiday gift card fundraiser is back! Check out below the details of these fundraisers and also look out for our pink PAC notices that your child(ren) brings home this coming week.

We are organizing a Fall garden cleanup on Wednesday November 16th, from 2.30 to 4.30 pm.
Please join us if you have some time! And feel free to pass the word to people you know.
If you have some garden tools, please bring them along. The plan is to rake leaves and do some weeding.

Our Winter Holiday Purdys' Fundraiser is now open! Please consider supporting this fundraiser by buying some local chocolate for the upcoming Winter season. All funds raised will go towards the school.

We have gone paperless this year so there is no paper catalogue coming home with your child.
