If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please email souattendance@vsb.bc.ca or phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. If you phone, you will be required to use a school code. The Southlands school code is 79#.

Hello Southlands families,

We hope you had a relaxing weekend.

Tomorrow during the professional development day, the staff will be working on our IB wrap up of the 2021 - 2022 school year. The authors of the report on our accreditation made a few recommendations including folding the non-enrolling and resource teachers into the collaboration of classroom teachers and updating our assessment practices so that students have a clear understanding of what is being assessed and how the teachers are assessing their learning.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on Tuesday!

Sincerely,
Margaret Paxton
