Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Goal Setting Conferences this week. If you were not able to attend, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher as you can meet to discuss progress at any time of year, not just at conference times. Today, some Southlands teachers met at school to deepen our understanding of assessment and feedback. Others went to off-site professional development workshops on topics such as Nutrition in Schools, “Let’s Talk About Touching,” Technology, and Storytelling. Thank you to Ms. Eichhorn and Mr. Lee and the students of Divisions 1 and 2 for organizing and presenting at our Remembrance Day Assembly on Thursday. We are very proud of you all. Special thanks to Mr. James Louis for singing and drumming. It was a memorable morning. Agenda for the meeting is posted here. Minutes from the previous PAC meeting at available here  Vancouver Coastal Health has sent a note to parents about BC's new Vaccination Status Reporting Regulation that came into effect 1 Jul 2019. In the coming months public health staff will check the immunization records they have on file for school age children. They will identify children whose records are missing or incomplete and contact families of those children.
