Please continue to make sure your child(ren) are healthy and feeling well before sending them to school.
If you are late to school (after 9:00 am), your child(ren) must enter through the upper front door by the salmon mural and check-in at the office. The upper front door is now unlocked during the day so no need to call or ring the doorbell. All parents entering the school must enter through the upper front door and check-in at the office.
If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please email souattendance@vsb.bc.ca or phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. If you phone, you will be required to use a school code. The Southlands school code is 79#.

Hello Southlands Families and Happy Family Day!
On Thursday we sent home a Southlands school newsletter via email. We hope you had a chance to read it.
There are just a couple of weeks left to register for the Southlands Sun Run Team. Enter by March 6th to join in the 2.5 km kids run or the 10 km walk/run. We now have enough members for an official team and will be proud to wear our Southlands Team shirts on April 16th. Parents, you are also welcome to sign up and be part of the Sun Run Team.
To register, go to https://vsrrun.com/join. Look for the Southlands school team. The Southlands Team Access code is HHHKQQ. Families are responsible for training and race day arrangements. The students will have a few fun runs at school before the big day. Siblings who are not Southlands students are welcome to join the team.

Southlands will be having Saleema Noon presenting their Body Science/Sexual health presentations on Friday, February 24th. There is a Southlands parent information session planned via Zoom on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30 pm. This information session will not be recorded for privacy reasons.

The Southlands PAC Direct Donation campaign for the 2023/2024 school year is ongoing. We need your help to reach this year's fundraising goals of $7,000 for the Outdoor classroom and $5,000 for Classroom funds.

This lets us know if you would like your name to be included in our newsletter recognition of donations or if you would like to be anonymous. If we do not receive the form, your donation will be considered anonymous.
