Please continue to make sure your child(ren) are healthy and feeling well before sending them to school.
If you are late to school (after 9:00 am), your child(ren) must enter through the upper front door by the salmon mural and check-in at the office. All parents entering the school must enter through the upper front door and check-in at the office.
If your child(ren) will be absent from school, please email souattendance@vsb.bc.ca or phone 604-713-5159 as soon as possible and leave your child's name, division number, the date and whether they will be absent or late. If you phone, you will be required to use a school code. The Southlands school code is 79#.

Our Spring Fair is on May 7th from 3-5pm in the schoool gym. As we begin our planning, we’d love to hear your ideas and suggestions for making it a memorable event! Whether you have a fun activity, a food idea, or a creative theme in mind, we want to know what you think would make this fair the best one yet!
Here are a few questions to spark your creativity:
What types of games or activities would be fun for kids and families?
Do you have any ideas for food or treats that we can offer?
Would you be interested in volunteering or helping organize?
Please share your thoughts with us. We’re excited to work together as a community to create a fantastic Spring Fair experience for everyone!

Registration is now open to the public for UBC’s Farm Wonders (ages 6-9) and Forest Wonders (ages 10-12) summer camps! These programs give kids the chance to explore nature, dig around in the garden, and learn about the food systems around them - all in a fun, hands-on outdoor environment at the UBC Farm.
